Marie Patricia Hann (nee Bann)
On Tuesday, 16th February 2021, Marie, wife of John Hann, mother of Owen, Paul, Roz and Steve(n), sister of Bob Bann, grandmother to Dan, Daniel, Matthew, Jacob, Oscar and Dana, passed away suddenly, aged 81, at her home in Lilli Pilli. Born in Mt Isa in 1939, Marie married John in 1966. John and Marie raised their family at their farm, Bolaro (near Nelligen), and home in Batemans Bay. Marie trained as a primary school teach in Armidale and commenced teaching in Western Sydney before training as a beautician in Sydney CBD. She returned to teaching in 1971 at St Joseph’s school and (later) St Bernard’s school in Batemans Bay, where she continued to work until her retirement in 2006.
Marie was best known for her caring nature, patience, generosity, compassion, cheerfulness and family commitment. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and will forever be in their hearts.
Funeral to be held at Broulee Memorial Gardens on 26 February 2021 at 2pm.
The family requests any donations to Eurobodalla Oncology Service in Moruya Hospital.
